Gare du Nord

The Gare Du Nord is a famous old station built in the late 1880s. It used to welcome the boat trains from Calais but now it's the Eurostar trains that bring in travellers from Britain. Thalys trains to Brussels, Amsterdam, and Cologne also use Gare Du Nord. Gare Du Nord has appeared in several films including the Bourne Identity, The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean's Twelve.

With around 190 million passengers per year, Gare Du Nord is the busiest railway station in Europe and certainly it can feel like that if you arrive at peak times. However, despite the crowds, it's still exciting to arrive from London into the grand old building and know you're just just a few steps away from the streets of Paris.
